A New AEM Blog

For the past year, I have been blogging for my employers. Perficient and most recently 3|Share. It has been a good experience that I plan to continue. But I have become a little curious about the blogosphere. In particular, I am interested in SEO.

As an AEM developer and architect, I have been implementing SEO for years. That is from the technical side of things. I'm talking about things like Google sitemaps, JSON-LD, and the quintessential meta tags. All without concern about the impact these things have.

I looked into WordPress, SquareSpace, Wix, and Medium. I finally settled on Wix. The editor is intuitive. The yearly fee is affordable. And I can customize things to a degree I am comfortable with without investing too much time. After all, time is money. With a full-time job, 2 kids 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a house, my time is at a premium.

My goal: start writing content and try to see if I can get it to rank by using the tools provided by my chosen platform.

The blog will cover Adobe Experience Manager and the Adobe Experience Cloud. Hence "The AEM Maven" since at this point in my career AEM is my primary field of expertise. I will keep things short. Topics will include things that I learned years ago and wish to pass on. Other topics will cover things I am learning about on a daily basis. In particular with AEM as a Cloud Service.
